You can alsodilute coffee and use it as a spray. Spray it around your garden and as slugs crawl over it they will absorb the caffeine and die. Be sure to use a strong coffee. Also another method is to put some beer in a jar and lay it on its side so that they can enter the jar. The slugs are attracted to it, drink it and then die. Another method is to make a coffee spray.

Mealy bugs are probably one of the most destructive pests to plants. They secrete a waxy liquid. You’ll find them feeding off your succulents, palms, ferns and fruit trees. They are most commonly found indoors in temperate environments. The waxy liquid they secrete attracts ants, which feed on the liquid. The easiest way to deal with them is to clip off the leaves where they are and then douse the bugs with mineral spirits or kerosene. This will dry them up and kill them.
